Background and contact

My name is Anita, I would like to make you something beautiful, a treasure unique and lasting. I use a traditional set of buon fresco painting skills I have learned here in Australia and in Italy. I fell in love with fresco art after a long day of walking in Florence, Tuscany in the incomparable country of Italy. I lay on my bed happy but tired, I looked to the mural painted on the ceiling of my room, everything became comforting and calm and I was a cherub cavorting in the clouds ,with a garland of flowers, a lute, an urn of wine and a basket of bread cheeses and fruits.

That was only possible in Italy, so when I returned I looked about me to my own garden, to scenes familiar for the comforts and colours that shape life here . The plants, the flowers, trees and animals, the foods all found close to home. I set about casting them to the realm of buon fresco.

Banksia, flowering gum, wattle, spiny leaf , spine bill, honey eater and fire wheel, kangaroo paw, blue wren, lorikeet and pomegranate.
